SIP endpoints including keyboard devices (conference phones) can be connected to TrueConf Server. Here, we’ll explain how to establish the connection using Phoenix Spider MT505 speakerphone as an example. Thanks to the keyboard, this office phone system can be used without a PC.

Step 1. Create a new account on the server
Register a new user on TrueConf Server following the instructions in our blog. Specify a TrueConf ID and a password for this user.
Step 2. Set up Phoenix Audio Spider speakerphone
Open the Configuration tab and go the Quick Setup section in the Spider settings program. Fill in the form:
Enter:
- Your TrueConf Server IP address in the Proxy IP Address or Host Name field(SIP Proxy and Registrar section);
- Your TrueConf ID (the characters before @) in User ID and Authentication User Name fields.
- The password (from Step 1) in the Authentication Password field.
Then press the Submit button.
Check the server connection status on the speakerphone display: the phone sign in the upper left corner of the display will not be crossed if there is a connection established.
Step 3. Check the connection using your TrueConf client application
If the connection is successfully established, a new user will be online in the address book of TrueConf for Windows client application. You can phone them or invite to a group conference.
Step 4. Make a Call
Assign aliases consisting of digits to users and phone them by dialling their numbers.
