Today TrueConf, the leading developer of video conferencing solutions in Eastern Europe, showcased 3D video conferencing at Integrated Systems Europe 2015 in Amsterdam, the largest AV and IC technology exhibition on the continent.
The TrueConf booth at Integrated Systems Europe featured a demonstration of a prototype technology for conducting 3D video conferencing sessions. The prototype uses regular polarized 3D glasses, the kind found in movie theaters. The solution combines special software from TrueConf with the Cinema 3D display from LG. This new technology allows users to capture, compress, record, and transmit stereoscopic HD quality images via regular IP networks, including the Internet.
All it takes to organize a 3D video conference is a stereoscopic screen and a 3D camera connected to TrueConf video conferencing endpoint. The system is able to reproduce stereoscopic images using currently developed methods: polarization, eclipse, or anaglyph. The demo utilized an LG polarized screen and a Magicam SD 30 stereoscopic camera by AEE.
As well as 3D video conferencing, TrueConf showcased their UltraHD (4K) multipoint video conferencing solution; demonstrated the performance of their free VC server, TrueConf Server Free; and also showed a full range of TrueConf video conferencing and collaboration solutions for Windows, Linux, OS X, iOS, Android and WebRTC.
TrueConf solutions, including 3D video conferencing, will be showcased at Integrated Systems Europe up until February 12th at the TrueConf 9-А102 booth.
“We are sure that 3D audiovisual technology will remain a trend – not only for household TV users, but for commercial use, too. The 3D polarization technology by LG makes 3D video conferencing more comfortable than before because it uses light, inexpensive 3D glasses, and causes no flicker or eye exhaustion even during long sessions,” says Artyom Strelbitsky, Head of H.E Product Marketing at LG Electronics.
LG CINEMA 3D televisions feature a variety of CRT sizes with FullHD image quality. Three dimensional polarization technology paired with lightweight, easy to wear glasses make viewing video in 3D format as comfortable as possible.
The 3D Depth Control feature allows you to individually set the depth of 3D images. Also, LG televisions utilize the most advanced 2D to 3D conversion technology, providing a remarkably deep and life-like 3D image. The Tru-Black feature controls the depth and precision of monochromatic shades, while the Tru-Color Generator preserves the original color hues in images which could be distorted during signal transmission to the TV. The contrast optimization, along with local dimming technology, takes visual detail and intensity to the next level.
