The new version of TrueConf for OS X 1.2.3 allows users to stream video content to any video conferencing endpoint, and features convenient calls, messaging, and user interfaces.
In line with the company’s recently updated applications for Linux and Windows, TrueConf for OS X 1.2.3 now includes more collaboration tools and the ability to screencast the desktop or any other program running on a computer in any conference. Users can now also share any video content to any video conferencing endpoint, including SIP devices and WebRTC-based conference participants.
The update includes a fully functional call history feature which provides additional info about the caller, date, time, and conference mode. Users of the new version of TrueConf for OS X can view additional user information on any contact in their Address Book: their TrueConf ID, display name, full name, and organization.
Other improvements include better instant messaging performance and capabilities. The peripheral devices control mechanism is now simplified, and there is now a server network connectivity test. Administrators can easily test communication channel performance and diagnose issues with user subscriptions to the enterprise VC system.
“Today’s BYOD culture is helping Apple break further into the PC-centric business IT world. A collaboration room, powered by a $499 Mac Mini, could be an affordable and popular configuration for teams of Apple users,” says David Maldow, Founder & CEO of ‘Let’s Do Video’. “By providing business-class video conferencing on OS X, TrueConf will be well suited to support these users and environments.”
