In March 2014 TrueConf participated for the first time in one of the most respected conferences in the field of unified
communications – Enterprise Connect in Orlando, FL.

Every year thousands of visitors from around the world gather in Orlando to learn about the latest technologies and products presented at
the exhibition, as well as to take advantage of a unique opportunity to hear the thoughts of industry leaders and learn from the experience
of the largest customers of the Fortune 500.

This year’s conference hot topics were an active discussion of WebRTC technology, scalable video coding (SVC), and video conferencing systems
and unified communications (UC) integration issues.

TrueConf Marketing Director Lev Yakupov participated in a conference session on Emerging Video Technologies, which was organized
by the co-founder and senior partner at Wainhouse Research – Andrew Davis. In his speech, Lev spoke about video conferencing solutions
architecture changing and formulated five key trends that will determine the development of the industry in the coming years.

According to trends formulated by Lev, software versus hardware confrontation is currently not essential. What matters now is how their
architectures compare: are they based on mixing streams or transcoding them; do they use scalable video coding (SVC) etc. On-premises
solutions for video and audio communication will be replaced with more cross functional computers with touch panels. New video codecs,
such as H.265 and VP9, are opening ways to achieve 4K quality on the existing communication channels. At the same time, implementing a
video conferencing system would take just a few minutes and will consist of deploying a virtual application in a private corporate cloud.

In general, the conference was very interesting and as massive as ever. For TrueConf, the participation in such major event as
Enterprise Connect has become another important step towards the promotion of its solutions in the global market.
