We are pleased to introduce a new version of TrueConf Server 4.1 that features broadcasting of video conferences
in web browsers using WebRTC technology on PCs and Android smart phones. This technology allows transmitting audio and video data in
real time through a web browser without having to install any extensions or programs. Video conferencing is now closer to the users than ever.

By default, WebRTC technology is supported by such browsers, as Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Yandex. The technology allows using a web browser
as a client application for video conferencing. Thus, the users can join a video conferencing session omitting the transitive services or having
to install additional software. Please note that the current version of the server only supports video broadcasting.

Web browser broadcasting is a long-awaited feature and the customers of our solutions have been repeatedly asking for it, especially those
who work with unqualified IT users.

What’s New in TrueConf Server 4.1:

  • broadcasting multipoint conferences via WebRTC (up to 100 web-participants simultaneously);
  • feature that allows to record multipoint video conferences on the server side in AVI format;
  • new configuration tab that allows to manage the links to the web management interface, added in the previous release 4.0;
  • Spanish, Portuguese, Polish and Czech localizations.

What’s Improved:

  • user lists, address books and conference lists are displayed faster;
  • extended licensing information on the web management interface of the server;
  • menu of the web configurator is now fully displayed.

What’s Fixed:

  • the list of users to invite to a video conference no longer displays the users who are already in the conference;
  • the users blocked by the LDAP protocol no longer appear in the user list;
  • automatic managing the address book in LDAP mode;
  • now possible to restore the server settings with a large number of users;
  • the ability to delete previously created user groups;
  • it is now possible to delete a running video conference;
  • now displaying the e-mail to send the offline registration file.

We plan to support transferring audio and video streams to a video conference directly from the browser in future releases of
TrueConf Server. As well, we plan to support more browsers (currently the web-conferencing is available only for Chrome-based browsers)
and WebRTC broadcasting of conferences in the cloud service TrueConf Online }}.
