At ISE 2024, TrueConf and Eyefeelit unveiled a new corporate technology which expands the boundaries of traditional video conferencing. HoloLive projects a life-size 3D holographic image of a person or object in real time and сreates the impression of face-to-face interaction during virtual meetings, revolutionizing the way speakers collaborate and increasing the immersiveness of remote and hybrid events.
As stated in Microsoft’s Work Trend Index report, 43% of management find relationship building the greatest challenge in remote and hybrid work despite the advantages of modern video communication technologies. The latest research indicates that holographic telepresence is set to revolutionize the way we connect and interact, and the Holographic Display Market is expected to reach USD 9.76 billion by 2029. According to the Protiviti-Oxford survey, 66% of leaders say immersive technologies will have a significant impact on global business over the next decade.
To make virtual communication close to real, TrueConf and Eyefeelit paired their technologies which resulted in HoloLive, a disruptive solution that provides real-time photorealistic interaction and delivers an unprecedented video call experience. At ISE 2024, visitors to TrueConf, Secure Meetings & Eyefeelit’s joint stand had the opportunity to explore the holographic telepresence and be witnesses of transatlantic 3D calls.
HoloLive combines Eyefeelit’s advanced 4K transparent interactive screen and TrueConf VideoSDK, a special developer toolkit, which powers it with 4K UltraHD video conferencing capabilities. The 2-meter-high box serves as the projection interface for the holographic image.
HoloLive provides a unique user experience: it shows three-dimensional images without the need for special tools and 3D glasses. Participants in a remote location can create a realistic sense of their presence using a 4K camera (even of their smartphones) connected to a PC with installed TrueConf software, which outputs the video stream on the interactive screen of HoloLive. As a result, three-dimensional images are projected in the box, providing detailed live pictures of people and objects, allowing for natural conversations, real-life demonstrations, and eye contact keeping.
Hologram technology unlocks a wide range of possible applications in various industries by adding a new aspect to digital communications. In healthcare and education, TrueConf-based HoloLive is used for virtual consultations, immersive training sessions and workshops, allowing interacting with 3D content. In various business fields and entertainment, holographic video calls open ultra-realistic remote performances, sales presentations, and product demonstrations.
HoloLive provides the possibility of interaction both in real time and with pre-recorded videos, for example, to answer a frequently asked question during a client consultation. In addition to the standard version, there are also desktop solutions that have smaller dimensions and price.
