TrueConf has provided Optica Halperin, the largest optics network in Israel, with a powerful software system to create a telemedicine video communication framework connecting patients and remote doctors for holding medical examinations in 4K.
In connection with the rapid development of digital technologies in healthcare of Israel, Optica Halperin management decided to enhance the method of providing eye examination and treatment creating special equipped rooms in their country-distributed branches. However, hiring licensed optometrists in each optics office turned out to be a difficult and time-consuming process, so keeping up with modern medical trends, the company switched to developing a telemedicine system which would allow to hold real-time medical consultations even with unstable Internet connection ensuring data security and information confidentiality, as the company handles sensitive health data.
To increase the level of patient care and create a new smart platform for online eye examination, Optica Halperin deployed a secured video collaboration platform developed by TrueConf, which provides 4K video support that is sufficient for telemedicine and unites patients and doctors located far from each other. With TrueConf API, a set of ready-made application programming interfaces, it was easily possible to integrate video conferencing into the Optica Halperin queue management platform, providing the optics’ customers and specialists with a smart user-friendly framework for electronic eye test.
With TrueConf video conferencing software, Optica Halperin ophthalmologists initiate eye test sessions using only one button and can invite any colleague to the call for more effective and customer-oriented consultation. Plus, employees are also able to record video meetings, thus making patient handover much easier, as information about each session is securely stored on the company’s own IT infrastructure.
“With TrueConf, Optica Halperin is improving the quality of medical services and expanding the opportunities of the population to receive a high-quality medical examination. The company plans to deploy TrueConf video conferencing software in about 40 optics branches for their specialists and customers to have a unique system for comprehensive remote digital evaluations,” says Gideon Haba, TrueConf representative in Israel.
TrueConf solutions allowed Optica Halperin to successfully equip 10 branches for smart ophthalmological service throughout the country. TrueConf video conferencing platform also improved team communication as TrueConf mobile and desktop client applications are installed on PCs, laptops and mobile phones of Optica Halperin employees so that they can experience work communication with a wide range of collaboration tools without limits.
