TrueConf Offers Free Three-Way Multipoint Video Conferences for iOS, OS X and Windows Users

20 May 2013

TrueConf, a leading Russian videoconferencing vendor, announces the new release of cloud-based videoconferencing service TrueConf Online 6.3.0 and offers free three-way video conferences for OS X, Windows and iOS users with no hidden costs.

TrueConf Online users can now enjoy free three-way video conferences on OS X, Windows and iOS, and can also use several key collaborative tools, including video recording, whiteboard, and file transfer. If they decide to upgrade to a paid plan, users also have access to multipoint video conferences with up to 120 users and an interface with more collaborative tools: remote desktop control and sharing, slideshows and presentations.

Michael Gotalsky, TrueConf CEO, says that: “As demand for corporate video conferencing grows, so does the need for delivering high quality visual communication for small businesses and non-commercial users. We’re seeing a great demand for secure and easily operated solutions. TrueConf cloud services offer all of the above. Its quality has been tested and proven by more than 2.6 million users all over the world.”

TrueConf solutions work over 3G/4G, EDGE/GRPS and Wi-Fi, making mobile communication even easier.

New Features of TrueConf Online 6.3.0

In addition to the option for free three-way videoconferences, TrueConf Online 6.3.0 features several updates. The latest update includes a new UI with Windows 8 design that supports a 16:9 aspect ratio for all video modes. This has been the most common aspect ratio for TV and computer displays since 2009, and is the international standard format for HDTV, Full HD and non-HD digital television, and analog widescreen television. The update was designed to improve the end-user experience and keep the application current with market demand.

Supporting Full HD 1080p resolution, TrueConf Online users can enjoy high quality live videoconferencing feeds with up-to-date PTZ- and web-cameras (such as the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, and similar). TrueConf Online supports hardware-based encoding and decoding on integrated graphics cards, thereby reducing CPU load during HD video calls.

The application also allows users to switch between audio and video devices (including microphones, video cameras, etc.) at any time during a video conference without experiencing any connection breaks.
