We can’t wait to introduce TrueConf Kiosk 2.0, a new version of our software solution that helps integrate video conferencing capabilities into ATMs, interactive or self-service kiosks, video contact centers and other smart city solutions.
Now you can control TrueConf Kiosk with the help of external console commands and enjoy a wider range of supported video formats for promotional videos. Additionally, we’ve added more options for placing your self-view in the video layout during the meetings.

Control the application using external commands
You can control TrueConf Kiosk with the help of hard keys or interactive touch screen kiosks thanks to the support of console commands from third-party devices or applications. For example, you can set a custom gesture on a touch screen kiosk to start or end a video call.
TrueConf Kiosk now supports the following console commands:
- config opens TrueConf Kiosk settings menu. If the app hasn’t been launched, this command launches it and opens the settings window.
- call starts a call with parameters pre-configured in the Call section. If the app hasn’t been launched, this command automatically launches TrueConf Kiosk and makes a call.
- hangup ends an ongoing video call or conference.
- terminate shuts down TrueConf Kiosk app.
Flexible video layout settings
With TrueConf Kiosk 2.0, you can choose where to place your self-view during the meetings or completely disable it in the new Layout tab.
- Self-view at the bottom
- Self-view in the bottom left corner
- Hide self-view
More video formats supported
TrueConf Kiosk 2.0 now supports the majority of video codecs used in Windows OS. Thanks to it, you can upload your promotional videos to display them on the screen of your kiosk without prior video converting.
