Previously we told you about the key features offered by TrueConf Server 4.5, a new version of our secure video collaboration platform.
Today we would like to say a few words about Personal Area, one of our major updates. Personal area is a special section for users registered on TrueConf Server, which lets users edit their profile information, schedule meetings and create virtual rooms independently, without administrator’s help.
Table of Contents
Fast authorization
Logging in to your personal area is easy — even if you are on the go and have limited access to your laptop, you can sign in from your smartphone or tablet.
Enter your personal area from your desktop client application (go to TrueConf – Personal Area). Alternatively, open the TrueConf Server guest page in your browser and sign in to your personal area using your username and password.
Meeting scheduling
Schedule recurring or non-recurring meetings with fixed time and date, or set a schedule and view the list of your online meetings. You can also create and edit virtual rooms – persistent meeting spaces which are available without schedule.
Add a scheduled meeting to your calendar, e.g. Google or Outlook, and share your conference ID with your colleagues. They will be able to join it from your guest page.
Conference templates
When scheduling meetings, you can save conference settings as a template for future reference. Your template will include the list of conference participants, so you won’t need to add them manually each time you launch the meeting. All saved templates are available in a separate section of your personal area.
Editing address book
In your personal area, you can view and edit the list of your contacts, e.g. add or delete them. Call or chat with your colleagues right from your address book! To do it, you will be automatically prompted to launch the TrueConf client app, and if it’s not installed, you can download it right in your personal area.
Editing your profile info
In your personal area you can edit your profile information on TrueConf Server (if your administrator didn’t enable LDAP synchronization):
- Add missing data and phone numbers.
- Change your email address and password
- Change the interface language
- Upload your profile photo
Here you can also take a picture with your camera and set it as an avatar visible to your colleagues when communicating using TrueConf client applications.
