With TrueConf Server you can record all video conferences. You can enable or disable this function in the Recordings section of the control panel. By default, all video recordings are saved in .mkv format.

You can turn recording on and off for each group conference when scheduling it. To do it, select On demand option in Recordings field in Record multipoint conferences section.

Server-side video conference recording will include video layout set by the conference moderator for guests and SIP/H.323 devices on transcoder.

Recorded calls and conferences will be displayed on Reports → Conference recordings tab in TrueConf Server control panel.

If you wish to browse them, you will need to follow the next steps:

  1. Go to Reports → Conference recordings section in TrueConf Server control panel.
  2. Here you can find the list of all recorded conferences and filter them.
The list contains video recordings from the folder you set up in the Recordings section of TrueConf Server control panel. The default path is Recordings folder in TrueConf Server work path .
  1. Press How to play video conferences recordings from the server 1if you wish to download a recording.
  2. When the download completes, open this file in any media player that supports VP8 video codec (e.g. VLC).

You can also upload the conference recording to YouTube in order to share it with your colleagues. Read our article about webinars to learn how to prepare your video before uploading it to Youtube.
