Sending and Receiving Content via NDI

You can stream the entire conference layout or a separate video window via NDA in the local network. It is possible to broadcast multiple NDI streams in parallel.

It is not possible to broadcast a video window with shared content as a separate NDI stream.

For stable performance with NDI streaming features, we recommend using only a wired connection TrueConf Room to the local network. Wi-Fi bandwidth may not be sufficient for transmitting high-quality media streams broadcast via NDI.

Broadcast of the general video layout

To stream the conference layout with audio, you will need to:

  1. In the conference control panel, click the Change layout button.

  2. At the bottom, click /docs/room/media/gui/more_layouts/en.png.

  3. Confirm the transfer of the mixed stream by clicking the Enable NDI button.

  1. In the conference control panel, click the Participants button.

  2. Next to the participant's name, click the /docs/room/media/gui/more/en.png button and select Enable NDI.

  3. After that, the status /docs/room/media/gui/ndi/en.png will appear under the participant's name, indicating that NDI is enabled.

Receiving NDI Stream

To enable NDI stream capture and its broadcast in the conference video layout, go to the settings of the equipment in use and select the desired stream instead of the camera and/or microphone.

Please note that you will not be able to share video and audio from your camera and microphone when capturing an incoming NDI stream.
