TrueConf 4.1 for iOS: Messenger Improvements

Meet version 4.1 of our app for iOS and iPadOS. The latest update brings new messaging features and a number of useful improvements.

Temporary notification disabling

You can now disable chat notifications for a period of time. However, if someone replies to your message or mentions you, a notification will still arrive, just like in permanently muted chats.

Quoting a message fragment

When replying to a message, users can now quote a specific fragment. You just need to select the text and choose Quote from the context menu.

File search

In TrueConf 3.6.1 for iOS and iPadOS, we added the Files section to user and group chat profiles. It contains all received and sent files and images. The new version brings search functionality, making it easier to find files or documents — just start typing the file name.

Voice message recording indicator

In the general chat list, as well as in personal or group chats, you can now see a special “Recording audio” indicator next to the names of users who are currently recording voice messages.

Automatic audio message downloading

Users of TrueConf for iOS and iPadOS can set up Automatic downloading of audio messages in chats. In the Options — Data and storage section, you can select the condition under which voice messages will be downloaded automatically, allowing you to control traffic and memory usage.

Other changes and improvements

• When all chat participants are mentioned with the @all tag, users now receive a corresponding notification, even if this chat is muted
• A user’s profile can be opened by long-pressing their TrueConf ID in a message (in the user@domain.com format)
• Users can now edit the display name for manually added contacts
• We’ve added an indicator showing that the conference is being transcribed, which is visible to all users
• The list of channel participants is now available only to channel moderators
• The overall stability of the application has been improved.
