Quick switch between cameras and presets
With TrueConf Group 1.1, it is easy to switch between web and PTZ cameras connected to the video conferencing endpoint. On the conference control panel, you can assign up to 10 positions with the specified angle and camera. This will allow you to switch between multiple scenes on the fly on the conference control panel or using the remote control.
Address book: new capabilities
Contact synchronization with TrueConf Server and TrueConf MCU
TrueConf Group 1.1 users can now log in under an account registered on TrueConf Server or TrueConf MCU video conferencing systems. This will enable synchronization and allows adding new contacts from the address book of the corresponding video conferencing system to TrueConf Group address book.
All subsequent changes in TrueConf Server or TrueConf MCU address book — adding or removing contacts — will be synchronized with TrueConf Group without the need for re-authorization in the video conferencing system.
Up to 5 network addresses for SIP/H.323, NDI, RTSP, VNC devices in the user profile
Now, you can specify up to 5 network addresses of SIP/H.323, NDI, RTSP, VNC devices for each contact in the address book. Earlier, only one network address for each protocol could be set.
Calendar with upcoming meetings
In April 2022, in TrueConf Group 1.0.59, we introduced remote TrueConf Group management via SSH command line interface. Later, in TrueConf Group 1.0.60, we added the ability to configure receiving ICS conference invitations via SSH and email.
In the new version, all received invitations are automatically added to a new section — Calendar. Now, you can track upcoming meetings, as well as changes to them in case of postponement or cancellation of the event in compliance with iCalendar protocol.
RTSP, NDI, and VNC sources as primary image or presentation
In TrueConf Group 1.1, you can use network hardware connected via RTSP, NDI, and VNC as your primary image source. You just need to specify the corresponding device in the Settings — Video — Image capture. The hardware must be added to the address book of your video conferencing endpoint in advance.
TrueConf Group users can also choose such devices as a content stream (presentation source).
Video files sharing
In addition to showing .JPEG and .PNG images, and presentations in .PDF, TrueConf Group 1.1 users can now share video files during the video conference. To do it, upload a file in .MKV, .MP4 or .TS on the presentation control panel and select it to share as a content stream. All downloaded files are stored in TrueConf Group’s internal memory and remain available for further use.
Support for Visca over IP protocol
In the version 1.1, we’ve added support for Visca over IP, the protocol for managing network PTZ cameras. The IP camera control interface over Visca over IP does not differ from the control of the camera connected directly. You can select the corresponding protocol on the control panel Settings — Video.
Android application for remote management
TrueConf Group video conferencing endpoint (as well as TrueConf Room PC-based room software) can now be controlled not only via web interface, but also using Room Discovery, a special application designed for Android.
With the app, you can automatically find all TrueConf Group and TrueConf Room video conferencing systems located in the same WiFi network with your Android device and start managing them without having to manually enter the URL. If you want to use Room Discovery, contact our technical support center.
Other useful enhancements
- In TrueConf Group 1.0.59, it became possible to use NDI protocol to create live streaming sessions with the video conferencing endpoint. In TrueConf Group 1.1, NDI stream can be started by clicking on the corresponding button on the conference management page.
- Now, during the NDI stream, not only the layout of the recording, but also the content stream (presentation) are transmitted. Earlier, the stream was only available during a running call or conference, now it can be started at any time.
- In the Settings — Recording and Streaming section, you can enable/disable automatic stream recording for each of the protocols — RTMP, SAP, and NDI.
- We’ve added support for Opus audio codec.
- The overall performance and stability of TrueConf Group firmware has been increased.
