On May 26 2015, Almaty, Kazakhstan hosted one more event dedicated to video conferencing technologies in the Video+Conference series. TrueConf took a role of the main sponsor and the organizer of the event with the support from partners: Phoenix Audio, Clevermic, Softline, and Polymedia.
It was the first such conference in Kazakhstan, however, the number of people willing to visit the event have exceeded our expectations. The conference was attended by 65 people, including IT experts from various business fields, integrator representatives, public and educational institutions representatives.
Prior to the event, visitors have already gathered around the demo stand with video conferencing equipment. They were asking a lot of questions, were very interested in technologies and we were glad to help and answer. During the conference, TrueConf’s VP of Sales and Business Development, Dmitriy Odintsov made a speech titled Why the World of Video Conferencing Will Never be the Same Again. He spoke about the changes on Video Conferencing market, 3D and 4K video conferencing technologies, and the prospects of their development. After the coffee break, Anton Ageev, our Leading Solutions Consultant manage to draw everyone’s attention to his presentation. He spoke about the newest features of TrueConf Server and shared several success stories along with economic details of implementations in education, business, and public sector.
During the break everyone had an opportunity to witness the performance of TrueConf Server features mentioned in the speech at the demo stand. Our experts were literally overwhelmed by questions, and even coffee and delicious snacks did not manage to distract visitors from video conferencing details. Some participants got to the conference from neighbouring Kyrgyzstan willing to get information about the possibilities of deployment of TrueConf UC&C platform abroad, and at their enterprises in particular.
On the whole, the event was very busy. The Aport Ballroom hall at Holiday Inn Almaty was filled with friendly atmosphere which provided for an informal setting. At the end of the day, there was a prise giveaway of Pebble Smartwatch that were won by a grad student who just recently wrote his thesis dedicated to video conferencing.
