About company
The Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) serves as the backbone of the nation’s energy infrastructure. The organization is entrusted with transmission of electricity across the country and plays a vital role in ensuring a stable and reliable power supply. Since its establishment in 1996, the company’s main mission has been to maintain effective management of the national power grid.
Task
With facilities scattered across remote and often inaccessible locations, PGCB needed to provide its employees with secure, uninterrupted video conferencing and instant messaging tools.
Given the critical importance of the Power Grid, standard commercial solutions were not an option. PGCB required a system capable of operating exclusively within an isolated, air-gapped network environment.
The key objective was to eliminate any risk of external cyberattacks, data leaks, or operational disruptions associated with third-party cloud services.
Solution
PGCB partnered with Systems & Services Limited, a network and infrastructure solutions integrator, to deploy TrueConf Server within their premises. The platform fully met technical and security requirements, becoming the core of the company’s collaboration environment.
The new system enables a seamless transition of most strategic and training meetings to an online format, while also consolidating interaction and storage of work information within a unified system. Employees can securely connect from any device at any time without exposing the company to the risks typically associated with cloud messengers and communication services.

In addition, the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh equipped its meeting rooms for holding board meetings and coordinating plans with government leaders. To streamline workflows, these formal conferences can be joined by employees from remote locations without any quality loss.
Results
The deployment of TrueConf Server significantly enhanced the way PGCB manages the nation’s power transmission. By enabling secure, self-hosted collaboration for all 3,500 employees, the company improved coordination between headquarters and remote facilities.
The solution provided PGCB with the confidence that their internal communications are impenetrable.
