About company
The Agency for Services and Payments (ASP) is an inter-ministerial government payment agency that contributes to the implementation of European, national and local public policies in France. The ASP acts under the dual control of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Labor and is the largest common agricultural policy agency in the U. The ASP currently employs about 3,000 people and acts on behalf of more than 13 ministries, 80 general councils, a number of regional councils and state agencies.
Challenge
With a number of geographically distributed offices, the ASP was looking for a way to digitize its business processes and facilitate day-to-day communication between multiple departments and agencies. Previously, ASP used solutions from Cisco and Poly, however, it became challenging for the company to maintain and scale their video conferencing infrastructure.
ASP required a stable and reliable video collaboration system to facilitate remote work and allow the organization to comply with work-from-home state policies. Moreover, the system should seamlessly integrate with their existing video conferencing endpoints to justify initial investments.
Solution
To provide in-department communication for all organization’s branches, ASP decided to use TrueConf Enterprise, a scalable unified communications platform for large companies. TrueConf Enterprise allowed ASP to federate multiple TrueConf Server instances and create a single address space for all company’s employees. This feature allows users to search, add, and call subscribers from other servers of the video conferencing network.
With the shared license pool, the company managed to significantly reduce its costs by paying only for the licensing services used by the servers at any given moment. Full backups of key nodes provide a high level of resilience and allow employees to stay connected under any circumstances.
TrueConf makes it possible to schedule and run video conferences with up to 1,000 participants, while a number of flexible layouts and management tools help the organization organize important meetings. Additionally, the employees enjoy a number of tools for effective day-to-day team collaboration: instant messaging in personal and group chats, file sharing, slideshow and screen sharing, meeting recording and remote desktop control. The agency has also successfully connected the existing legacy endpoints to their TrueConf-based video conferencing network with the help of built-in SIP/H.323 gateway.
“TrueConf allowed our company to create a unified workspace and facilitate secure and reliable interdepartamental communications. We highly appreciate the professional assistance of the TrueConf team that has provided continuous support at every stage of the project implementation to meet our company’s requirements and standards for data safety.“

Results
With TrueConf Enterprise, ASP managed to create a unified video conferencing network which connects more than 3,000 workplaces and boosts the overall agency performance.
The video conferencing system helps the agency to organize meetings, collaborate and quickly exchange important information in full compliance with self-isolation policies, which is especially important during the COVID-19 lockdown. TrueConf is also used to conduct onboarding programs for remote employees across the country.
In the near future, ASP management is planning to equip the organization’s meeting rooms with TrueConf video conferencing endpoints, cameras, and speakerphones to take full advantage of the TrueConf-based video conferencing ecosystem.
