TrueConf has released a new version of their software video conferencing server, TrueConf Server 4.2.5. The new update includes instant messaging during WebRTC conferences and the ability to join a conference via a link for browsers that do not support WebRTC. TrueConf constantly develops new features of its WebRTC client application in order for it to match other TrueConf client applications for Windows, OS X and Linux platforms.

In the new version of TrueConf Server, you can join a group conference of any type by clicking a link, even while using browsers for OS Windows that do not support WebRTC technology (for example, Internet Explorer, Safari and others). Joining the conference through browsers that do not support WebRTC is made possible by a client application, which does not require pre-installation. Users connected to a WebRTC conference can also communicate via text messages in group conferences.

An application for Android-powered devices has been added to the guest page for new users, which now also includes a section for a Linux-based application. The company has upgraded several client applications — TrueConf Client for Windows to version 6.4.4 and OS X to 1.2.2 — and has also added a help section on connecting RTSP cameras. In addition to enhanced integration with LDAP, the new version of TrueConf’s video conferencing server includes a number of significant improvements and changes aimed at more convenient work with settings for administrators.
