# What Is TrueConf Group?

# Endpoint Purpose

TrueConf Group video conferencing terminals are a hardware and software solution for video conferencing in small, medium, and large meeting rooms. The terminal lineup includes the TrueConf Group and TrueConf Group Silent models.

With this terminal, you can deploy a ready-to-use system for organizing video conferencing via SIP, H.323, RTSP, VNC, and NDI protocols. Depending on the configuration, it supports video conferencing with quality up to 2160p inclusive and can function as an MCU for up to 12 ports.

With TrueConf Group, you can:

  • Make video calls

  • Organize video conferences (if built-in MCU is enabled)

  • Record video meetings

  • Capture and share content from USB devices and video capture cards

  • Stream conferences to third-party platforms

  • Connect NDI and VNC video sources

  • control the terminal using a pre-configured touch tablet with custom firmware (this tablet is included in some supplied kits);

  • manage the terminal via the web interface from a browser (available to administrators only);

  • Use additional features when integrating with TrueConf Server and TrueConf MCU

  • Simultaneous connection to two different networks

Thanks to modular configuration, TrueConf Group is compatible with a number of peripheral devices:

  • any compatible PTZ cameras operating via USB 2.0/USB 3.0/HDMI interfaces and supporting control via RS-232 (CleverMic VISCA, Sony VISCA, Pelco-P, Pelco-D) or USB;

  • USB speakerphones

  • desktop tablet for terminal management;

  • Analog playback or audio capture devices

  • monitors connected via HDMI and DisplayPort.

# Configuration

  • Video conferencing endpoint (with an optional built-in MCU)

  • Built-in capture card with two HDMI inputs (optional)

  • Remote control

  • AV peripherals (e.g., PTZ camera and speakerphone).

# General Description

TrueConf Group and TrueConf Group Silent terminals are devices housed in a metal casing. Behind the decorative plastic front panel, there is an IR receiver for the remote control:
