Integration with Services

TrueConf Group supports integration with various services and offers additional features when connecting to the TrueConf ecosystem.

TrueConf Server

When integrated with TrueConf Server, you can import the corporate contact directory and scheduled conferences of the specified video conferencing server user into the address book TrueConf Group. This can be done using TrueConf Calendar Connector and MS Exchange.

  1. Go to section Settings → Integration → TrueConf Server.

  2. Activate item Enable TrueConf Server.

  3. Specify the following information in the server connection fields:

    • server (IP or domain name);

    • TrueConf ID (username) on whose behalf the address book should be imported;
    • user password;

    • check interval - the time period for synchronizing conferences and contacts with TrueConf Server.

  4. To apply the changes, click Synchronize in the Conferences and contacts section.

After that, the specified user's address book will be uploaded to the Contacts → TrueConf Server section of the terminal.

When synchronization is disabled, contacts imported from TrueConf Server are removed from the terminal's address book. To restore them, you need to reactivate synchronization and update the address book.

TrueConf MCU

Integration with the videoconferencing mixing server TrueConf MCU allows you to display scheduled conferences on the main screen and import a list of contacts from the MCU into the address book TrueConf Group.

To do it:

  1. Go to section Settings → Integration → TrueConf MCU.

  2. Activate item Enable TrueConf MCU.

  3. In the connection fields with TrueConf MCU, specify:

    • server (IP or domain name);

    • The user's name and password are required for the terminal to connect and download the address book.

  4. To apply the changes, click Synchronize in the Contacts section.

When synchronization is disabled, scheduled conferences and contacts imported from TrueConf MCU are removed from the terminal's address book. To restore them, you need to reactivate synchronization and update the address book.

Email

Integration with the email service allows you to receive conference invitations or SIP calls on TrueConf Group, ensuring they are sent in iCalendar format (.ics) with a LOCATION field specifying the URI for connection or call. Invitations are displayed on the device's calendar screen.

At first, it is necessary to configure the reception of invitation emails:

  1. Using the remote control, navigate to section Settings → Integration → Email.

  2. Activate item Enable email client.

  3. Enter the following information in the mail service connection fields:

    • Mail service address

    • Email box address to which conference invitations will be directed

    • Username (login) and password for the email box

    • The protocol used for receiving the invitation emails from the mail service (additional configurations may be needed on the side of the mail service)

    • The time interval for checking if new email invitations have been received.

After successfully receiving emails from the above-mentioned mailbox for the first time, you will see a list of upcoming events in the calendarTrueConf Group.

LDAP

Terminal TrueConf Group allows the use of the LDAP directory service. To configure integration with the LDAP server, go to section Settings → Integration → LDAP:

  1. Activate item Enable LDAP.

  2. Select Synchronization interval.

  3. In the fields for connecting to the video conferencing LDAP server, specify:

    • host name, port, and domain;

    • authentication method;

    • distinguished name (DN);

    • username and password.

  4. To apply the changes, click Synchronize in the Contacts section.

After successfully connecting to LDAP, you will have access to tabs User schema and Group schema, where you can specify the necessary parameters in the fields. By default, the group schema complies with the ITU-T H.350 standard. The content of the fields depends on the parameters used in your LDAP server.
