With TrueConf, you are free to participate in video meetings even on mobile devices. For this purpose, TrueConf for Android is available in Google Play and AppGallery.
However, sometimes you may need to install the application manually using the APK file, for example, if your smartphone comes without Google or Huawei services (this may be the case if you are using a corporate device that does not have access to the application store or if the access is restricted in your region).
We recommend installing the TrueConf application manually only when strictly necessary, as this process is quite complicated and does not allow receiving automatic updates. In addition, you won’t be able to authorize in the TrueConf application using your Google account on smartphones where Google services are disabled.
To install TrueConf for Android manually, follow these steps:

Step 1. Selecting the APK file
You can select one of the two options depending on your platform:
Step 2. Installing the application
For the sake of security, app installs from unknown sources (i.e. any source but Google Play Market) is disabled on Android OS by default. Hence, manual installation can be completed in the following way.
For Android 7 and below
- Open the APK file in any file explorer (File Manager or Explorer by default).
- When the pop-up notification Installation is blocked appears, press Settings.
- In the settings window, enable the Unknown sources option.
- Agree with the terms in the pop-up notification and press OK.
- Return to the application and open it once more.
For Android 8+
- Open the APK file in any file explorer (File Manager or Explorer by default).
- When the pop-up notification Installation is blocked appears, press Settings.
- In the settings window, enable the Allow for this source option (or Allow to install apps).
- Press Back and select Install.
Please note that allowing app installs from unknown sources is considered insecure. We recommend disabling this feature once TrueConf for Android is installed.
