Teleview for Refugees, a new telehealth video conferencing system based on TrueConf Server, was created by ZTM Bad Kissingen to provide emergency assistance to the refugee families in Germany. TrueConf set up video conferencing system between hospital and refugee first-accommodation center and provided necessary conditions for preliminary remote examination and issuing medical certification documents. <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> ZTM Bad Kissingen is one of the leading telemedicine centers in Germany. In the face of large migration and refugee flows, the company aims at solving numerous healthcare problems, including constantly growing number of patients, a strong need for skilled labour and specialized equipment.

\nZTM Bad Kissingen required a system that would allow to set up video communication between Rh\u00f6n Klinikum and refugee first-accommodation center. Additionally, it was essential to provide necessary conditions for preliminary remote examination and issuing medical certification documents.<\/p>\n

To find the right video conferencing system, ZTM Bad Kissingen tested more than 20 solutions of different video conferencing vendors. According to Waldemar Pautow, ZTM project manager, only TrueConf solution managed to provide full-fledged communication system suitable for remote diagnostics.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrueConf is easy to use and the quality is very good. In Germany there are high data safety requirements and there are only a few conference solutions left, while TrueConf delivered very good and flexible options\u201d, – Waldemar Pautow says.<\/p>\n

As a part of telehealth video conferencing<\/a> system deployment, refugee center was equipped with mobile video conferencing unit which consists of a flat screen TV and a mini PC with installed TrueConf for Windows application. At the arranged time, volunteers working in refugee accommodation centers help the patient connect with a remote doctor and follow doctor\u2019s commands during the medical check-ups. Remote doctors based in Rh\u00f6n Klinikum use TrueConf software for running video sessions with their patients.<\/p>\n

TeleView for Refugees received German Telemedicine Award by German Telemedicine
