Here you can also disable Automatic Gain Control to manually adjust the microphone sensitivity level.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"3\" class=\"h5--main h5--thick black-text ui-mb-xs-3 ui-mt-md-1\">Problem No.2: Echo Effect<\/h3>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/downloads\/windows.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TrueConf applications<\/a> are equipped with their own <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/support\/online-help\/tcw-user-guide.html#video&#038;sound\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">echo cancellation system<\/a>. If it can\u2019t keep up, you could ask the other party to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Bring down the speaker volume<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Move their microphone away from speakers<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Use a headset<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Check if the echo cancellation is enabled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"4\" class=\"h5--main h5--thick black-text ui-mb-xs-3 ui-mt-md-1\">Problem No.3: Audio Delay or Disappearance<\/h3>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">Possible causes:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Unstable or insufficient <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/support\/communication-channels.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Internet connection<\/a>. TrueConf applications <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/baza-znaniy\/kak-trueconf-server-optimiziruet-mediapotoki-v-videokonferentsiyah.html#i-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">adapt to communication channels<\/a>, increasing audio buffering and causing audio delay.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Other applications using your network (P2P clients, etc).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Working against the background of applications which use many system resources (e.g. flash animation).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Your computer doesn\u2019t meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/support\/system-requirements.html#client-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">system requirements<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">Possible solutions:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Check the application network settings (<a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/support\/online-help\/tcw-user-guide.html#network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Limits section<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Close other applications that are using your network traffic or computer resources.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Check if network hardware functions correctly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Try using a more powerful computer for video conferencing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"noise\" class=\"h5--main h5--thick black-text ui-mb-xs-3 ui-mt-md-1\">Problem No.4: Environmental Background Noises (\u0421ars, etc.)<\/h3>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">During a video meeting, background noises are most often caused by computer fans, automobile noise, wind, or incorrect computer system settings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">TrueConf client applications provide the built-in noise suppression feature. Its work is based on the AI model which was specifically trained for such purposes. Thanks to this feature, all extra noises will be removed from your audio stream.<\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">A user needs to enable noise suppression. To do it:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Open <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/client\/en\/av-settings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application settings.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Go to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/client\/en\/av-settings\/#audio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Audio and Video \u2192 Audio section<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Check the <strong>Noise suppression<\/strong> box in the menu.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Select one of the options in the drop-down list:<\/li>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\"><strong>Automatic<\/strong> \u2013 the level of noise suppression will be selected automatically depending on the performance characteristics of your device. <\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\"><strong>Standard<\/strong> \u2013 the moderate level of noise suppression which is more suitable for less powerful devices.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\"><strong>Enhanced<\/strong> \u2013 the most effective mode of noise suppression; however, it increases CPU load. <\/li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/frame-44.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-fm29Rl9z\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/frame-44.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"519\" height=\"192\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40340\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\"><\/a>\n        <\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"accent-note accent-note--line ui-mb-sm-1\">\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text\">Please note that activation of noise suppression will increase CPU load on relatively weak PCs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">If noise suppression does not solve this problem and you are using Windows, the problem may occur due to OS settings. To fix this issue:<\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\"><b>Step 1<\/b>. Click the <b>Start<\/b> button.<\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\"><b>Step 2<\/b>. Go to <b>Settings \u2192 System \u2192 Sound<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\"><b>Step 3<\/b>. Go to <b>Additional setting<\/b>s and click on <b>Sound control panel<\/b>. You will open the control panel for managing recording and output devices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\"><b>Step 4<\/b>. Select a device on the <b>Playback<\/b> tab, and click <b>Properties<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\"><b>Step 5<\/b>. On the <b>Enhancements tab<\/b>, check the box <b>Disable all enhancements<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/frame-45-1.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-fm29Rl9z\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/frame-45-1-432x470.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"470\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-40348\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/frame-45-1-432x470.png 432w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/frame-45-1.png 684w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 432px) 100vw, 432px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">If the problem persists, take these steps:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Find a quiet place (close the windows).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Place your microphone closer to yourself and away from noise sources.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Use a headset microphone, as microphones built into laptops and webcams are more sensitive to external noise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"ratting\" class=\"h5--main h5--thick black-text ui-mb-xs-3 ui-mt-md-1\">Problem No.5: Radio-like Noises (Rattling, etc.)<\/h3>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1 ui-mt-xs-3\">If during a TrueConf call, meeting participants hear recurring noises from you (rattling, crackling, screeching or anything else similar to the noises of an old radio receiver), check the following:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium ui-mb-sm-1 ui-mt-xs-3\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">If you are using a wired headset or speakerphone, make sure that it is properly plugged into the socket of your device (PC, laptop,  tablet, etc.). Noises may be caused by a poor connection at the point of contact.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">If you are using a speakerphone, it may already have a built-in hardware automatic gain control mechanism (refer to the device documentation for more details). In such a case disable automatic gain control in the <strong>Settings \u2192 Audio<\/strong> section of your TrueConf application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/trueconf-agc-en.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-fm29Rl9z\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/trueconf-agc-en-622x470.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"622\" height=\"470\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-42503\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/trueconf-agc-en-622x470.png 622w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/trueconf-agc-en-1024x774.png 1024w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/trueconf-agc-en-768x580.png 768w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/trueconf-agc-en-1536x1161.png 1536w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/trueconf-agc-en.png 1712w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 622px) 100vw, 622px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"accent-note accent-note--line accent-note--special ui-mb-sm-1 ui-mt-xs-3\">\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text\">\nAfter disabling automatic gain control, you will need to manually adjust the microphone gain (sensitivity) level either in the application or on your speakerphone.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"8\" class=\"h5--main h5--thick black-text ui-mb-xs-3 ui-mt-md-1\">Code of Conduct<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Speak in turn, don\u2019t interrupt other users.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Speak in your normal tone of voice (don\u2019t shout or whisper).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Mute your microphone when you sneeze or call someone via a mobile phone or no longer need to speak during a meeting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Keep your microphone as far as possible from paper documents you are holding and flipping through because this can lead to additional noises.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Don\u2019t get distracted by anything else, for example, don\u2019t work on any parallel tasks while you are speaking during a conference.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Make sure to check your devices and connection (audio, video, and the Internet) in advance before connecting to TrueConf Server.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Use a neutral background fit for business purposes (or use a custom background).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--disc\">Introduce yourself: this is particularly important when you are talking to a large audience with guest participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TrueConf keeps a close eye on the client applications it offers to make sure that you enjoy stable high quality video calls and conferences.
