This feature allows you to add other conferences from TrueConf Server or TrueConf MCU as a regular participant.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>E.g., here is what a default conference window looks like:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/before.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-RW2Vjb79\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-30562\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/before-1024x718.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"718\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/before-1024x718.png 1024w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/before-670x470.png 670w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/before-768x539.png 768w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/before-288x202.png 288w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/before.png 1186w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here is what it looks like after connecting another conference as a participant:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/after.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-RW2Vjb79\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-30561\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/after-1024x718.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"718\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/after-1024x718.png 1024w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/after-670x470.png 670w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/after-768x539.png 768w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/after-288x202.png 288w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/after.png 1186w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Cascading in TrueConf Server<\/h2>\n<div class=\"marked_note marked_note--danger\">Calling another conference using <b>SIP<\/b> and <b>H.323<\/b> protocols only works between different servers; this feature is not available within a single server.<\/div>\n<h3>Adding a Conference to the Address Book<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/client\/en\/address-book\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">address book<\/a> of the client application, click the button <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/grey.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"36\" height=\"37\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30566\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\"> and select <strong>User<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the conference <strong>ID<\/strong> and <strong>server adress<\/strong> you want to add in the format <code>#sip:&lt;id&gt;@&lt;server&gt;<\/code> for <b>SIP<\/b> protocol connection and <code>#h323:&lt;id&gt;@&lt;server&gt;<\/code> for <b>H.323<\/b>.<br \/>\nFor example: <code>#sip:123@example.com<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the button <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/plus-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"27\" height=\"27\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32943\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\">.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now you will be able to quickly add a conference as a regular participant to another event, both during creation and while it is in progress.<\/p>\n<h3>Adding a Conference into an Ongoing Session<\/h3>\n<p>To add a conference to an ongoing one, ust select it in the address book as a regular user and invite it to the conference. It will be automatically added to the participant list without requiring confirmation from the moderators of the invited conference.<br \/>\nYou can also add a conference via <b>SIP<\/b> and <b>H.323<\/b> protocols &#8220;on the fly&#8221;, without adding it to the address book. To do this, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/client\/en\/conf-management\/#invite_users_to_conference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">active conference window<\/a>, add the conference by its <strong>ID<\/strong> and <strong>server address<\/strong>: <code>#sip:&lt;id&gt;@&lt;server&gt;<\/code> for the <b>SIP<\/b> protocol, and <code>#h323:&lt;id&gt;@&lt;server&gt;<\/code> for <b>H.323<\/b>.<br \/>\nTo avoid seeing a copy of your camera&#8217;s image in the window of the joined conference, you need to activate the option <strong>Do not display self-view in video layout for H.323 and SIP endpoints<\/strong> in the <strong>Transcoding<\/strong> section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/server\/en\/admin\/gateways\/#transcoding-quality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">server control panel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"marked_note marked_note--warning\">This configuration item needs to be activated on each of the servers between which conference calls will be made via <b>SIP<\/b> and <b>H.323<\/b> protocols.<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/transcoding.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-RW2Vjb79\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30564 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #D1CCCC;\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/transcoding-e1721906279518.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"990\" height=\"580\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/transcoding-e1721906279518.png 990w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/transcoding-e1721906279518-690x404.png 690w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/transcoding-e1721906279518-768x450.png 768w, https:\/\/trueconf.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/transcoding-e1721906279518-345x202.png 345w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 990px) 100vw, 990px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Conference cascading works with various group video modes. See <a href=\"\/features\/modes\/group-video-conference.html\" title=\"Group conference modes\">group conference modes<\/a> for compatible layouts and participant limits.<\/p>\n<h2>Cascading in TrueConf MCU<\/h2>\n<p>In TrueConf MCU, you can also add a conference to the address book in advance and then invite it to another event, or add it by address to the participant list &#8220;on the fly&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h3>Adding a conference to the directory and inviting to another event<\/h3>\n<div class=\"marked_note marked_note--danger\">Calling another conference works only between different TrueConf MCU servers; this feature is not available within a single server.<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>In the MCU control panel, go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/mcu\/en\/address-book\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Address book<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the button <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/plus_cyan.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"42\" height=\"42\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32947\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\">.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the <strong>User name<\/strong> for the TrueConf MCU address book.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Address<\/strong> click the <strong>Add<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>The process of adding a <b>SIP<\/b>\/<b>H.323<\/b> \u0442terminal and conference is identical, as the external conference connects to the MCU via the <b>SIP<\/b> or <b>H.323<\/b>. Select <b>SIP<\/b> or <b>H.323<\/b> protocol and enter the address in the format <code>00&lt;id&gt;@&lt;server&gt;:&lt;port&gt;<\/code>, where:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>id<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/mcu\/en\/make-a-conference\/#id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ID<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/mcu\/en\/make-a-conference\/#route\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Route<\/a> of the required conference;<\/li>\n<li><strong>server<\/strong> &#8211; address of the server where the desired event is taking place;<\/li>\n<li><strong>port<\/strong> &#8211; the port used by the chosen protocol, but if the standard port is used, it can be omitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, you can also specify a label that will be displayed in the MCU conference. To do this, either <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/mcu\/en\/make-a-conference\/#create-conference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">during the conference creation<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/docs\/mcu\/en\/make-a-conference\/#quick-add-participants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">while it is already in progress<\/a> invite the desired conference as a participant with the address <code>00&lt;id&gt;@&lt;server&gt;:&lt;port&gt;<\/code> as mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/?p=30556&amp;preview=true#Adding_a_conference_to_the_directory_and_inviting_to_another_event\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">above<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cascaded conferencing is one of the many unique features of TrueConf products, available in TrueConf Server \u0438 TrueConf MCU.
