Cascaded conferencing is one of the many unique features of TrueConf products, available in TrueConf Server<\/a> \u0438 TrueConf MCU<\/a>. This feature allows you to add other conferences from TrueConf Server or TrueConf MCU as a regular participant.<\/p>\n

E.g., here is what a default conference window looks like:<\/p>\n

Cascading in TrueConf Server<\/h2>\n
Calling another conference using SIP<\/b> and H.323<\/b> protocols only works between different servers; this feature is not available within a single server.<\/div>\n

Adding a Conference to the Address Book<\/h3>\n

  1. In the address book<\/a> of the client application, click the button \"\" and select User<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Enter the conference ID<\/strong> and server adress<\/strong> you want to add in the format #sip:<id>@<server><\/code> for SIP<\/b> protocol connection and #h323:<id>@<server><\/code> for H.323<\/b>.
    \nFor example: #sip:123@example.com<\/code>.<\/li>\n
  3. Click the button \"\".<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now you will be able to quickly add a conference as a regular participant to another event, both during creation and while it is in progress.<\/p>\n

    Adding a Conference into an Ongoing Session<\/h3>\n

    To add a conference to an ongoing one, ust select it in the address book as a regular user and invite it to the conference. It will be automatically added to the participant list without requiring confirmation from the moderators of the invited conference.
    \nYou can also add a conference via SIP<\/b> and H.323<\/b> protocols “on the fly”, without adding it to the address book. To do this, in the     active conference window<\/a>, add the conference by its ID<\/strong> and server address<\/strong>: #sip:<id>@<server><\/code> for the SIP<\/b> protocol, and #h323:<id>@<server><\/code> for H.323<\/b>.
    \nTo avoid seeing a copy of your camera’s image in the window of the joined conference, you need to activate the option Do not display self-view in video layout for H.323 and SIP endpoints<\/strong> in the Transcoding<\/strong> section of the     server control panel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    This configuration item needs to be activated on each of the servers between which conference calls will be made via SIP<\/b> and H.323<\/b> protocols.<\/div>\n

    Cascading in TrueConf MCU<\/h2>\n

    In TrueConf MCU, you can also add a conference to the address book in advance and then invite it to another event, or add it by address to the participant list “on the fly”.<\/p>\n

    Calling another conference works only between different TrueConf MCU servers; this feature is not available within a single server.<\/div>\n

    3. Enter the User name<\/strong> for the TrueConf MCU address book.<\/li>\n
    4. In the Address<\/strong> click the Add<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
    5. The process of adding a SIP<\/b>\/H.323<\/b> \u0442terminal and conference is identical, as the external conference connects to the MCU via the SIP<\/b> or H.323<\/b>. Select SIP<\/b> or H.323<\/b> protocol and enter the address in the format 00<id>@<server>:<port><\/code>, where:\n
