In this mode, active speakers, as well as users who share content and slides, take the podium automatically.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The number of speakers, from 4 to 36, assigned in the conference settings is automatically filled by active participants who are identificated with the voice activation mechanism (VAD). Each next speaker replaces the one who spoke the latest in the layout.<br \/>\nA <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/knowledge-base\/user-and-admin-roles-in-trueconf-server.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conference moderator<\/a> can pin selected participants on the podium \u2014 in this case, the other speakers will not replace them in the layout.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pFPqSp8hd8M\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div class=\"marked_note marked_note--green\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">All layout changes in Smart meeting mode are displayed in real time for users of TrueConf 8.2.1+ desktop applications, TrueConf 3.3+ for iOS, TrueConf 2.1+ for Android as well as for SIP\/H.323 and WebRTC users, in live broadcasts, and they are also stored in conference recordings on TrueConf Server and in client applications. Only users who give permission to be recorded will be displayed on conference recordings made in the client application.<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Smart meeting mode is available for both public and private conferences. You can set it when creating or editing a meeting via<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TrueConf Server control panel<\/li>\n<li>User personal area (on the conference webpage)<\/li>\n<li>Conference scheduler in TrueConf client applications for Windows, Linux iOS\/iPadOS, and Android.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-qgVyek3d\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18607\" style=\"border: 1px solid grey;\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"marked_note marked_note--green\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>The new mode is available only for TrueConf 8.2.1+, as well as TrueConf 2.1+ for Android, and TrueConf 3.3+ for iOS. Users of earlier versions will run the app in compatibility mode and take the podium only at the request or by moderator\u2019s appointment.<\/b><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Additionally, a moderator can switch the mode from <b>Role-based meeting<\/b> to <b>Smart meeting<\/b> and back during a running video conference in <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/news\/trueconf-8-2-2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TrueConf 8.2.1<\/a>+.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, 4 video conferencing modes were available: Video call (1&#215;1), All on screen (49&#215;49), Video lecture (1&#215;49) and Role-based (up to 1&#215;1000). Now TrueConf admins and users can explore 5 video meeting modes, and we\u2019ve renamed Role-based conference into Moderated role-based for convenience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Updated interface for real-time meeting management<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In TrueConf Server 5.2.6, we\u2019ve simplified video layout changing in <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.trueconf.com\/client\/en\/layouts-management#remote-layout-management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Real-time meeting management<\/a> \u2014 all controls and editing are now on the same page.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/3.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-qgVyek3d\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18607\" style=\"border: 1px solid grey;\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Previously, switching between layouts was only available after their editing. Now you can switch to another layout at any time without losing changes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/4.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-qgVyek3d\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18607\" style=\"border: 1px solid grey;\" src=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the updated real-time meeting management interface, you can also adjust microphone sensitivity for participants connected via SIP\/H323 devices, whereas earlier it was only possible to adjust the sensitivity for users of TrueConf for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS\/iPadOS, and for WebRTC users.\n<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Other useful enhancements<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li> We&#8217;ve included TrueConf Server security updates for November 2022 <\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve disabled automatic guest name generation when connecting to a public conference using a web browser<\/li>\n<li>An add-on enabling users to share content with sound has been introduced to TrueConf 8.2 for macOS<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve fixed a bug that causes the adding of guest and SIP\/H.323 connections to the displayed number of online users in <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/news\/trueconf-server-5-0-meet-chat-and-collaborate-across-multiple-devices.html#Dashboard_section\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dashboard<\/a> tab &#8220;License usage&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>The overall performance and stability of the video conferencing system have also been enhanced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For a complete list of updates, check our <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/products\/server\/changelog.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">changelog<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re glad to announce the release of TrueConf Server 5.2.6, the latest update of our all-in-one team collaboration platform for Windows and Linux.
