Protect your meeting with a password or PIN<\/h3>\n<p>With the help of PIN you can further restrict access to a conference for those participants who got a link to this event, but were not invited to it. Please note that PIN can be activated only if registration is disabled. You can limit the access to the webinar with a PIN code as an additional security measure. If set, users won\u2019t be able to join the meeting without entering the right password even if they have a conference join link.<\/p>\n<p>If the meeting is scheduled on the TrueConf Server side, ask your administrator to set a PIN code and send it to you.<\/p>\n<p>When scheduling the meeting in the conference scheduler or from the personal area, go to the <strong>Advanced<\/strong> tab and check the <strong>Use PIN to enter the conference<\/strong> box to automatically generate a new password. Set up guest permissions<\/h3>\n<p>If you would like to improve your <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/features\/core\/secure-communications.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">meeting security<\/a> and limit your guest permissions (i.e. make sure they can only attend your meeting and act as passive listeners), you can use corresponding settings beforehand. By preventing guests from sharing their audio and video or sending messages during the webinar, you can protect other attendees from unwanted audio remarks, messages, images and GIF animations.<\/p>\n<p>If an<a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.ru\/blog\/baza-znaniy\/kak-zaplanirovat-videokonferentsiyu-na-storone-servera-trueconf-server.html#i-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> administrator<\/a> schedules the webinar on the server side in advance, you could ask your admin to make sure guests can\u2019t share audio and video.<\/p>\n<p>If you schedule the conference in your<a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.ru\/blog\/baza-znaniy\/kak-zaplanirovat-videokonferentsiyu-na-storone-servera-trueconf-server.html#i-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> personal area<\/a> or in the TrueConf client app, you can enable these restrictions yourself. Do not share webinar links publicly to mitigate risks<\/h3>\n<p>To avoid unwanted users, be careful when sharing your webinar links on public resources, e.g., social media or forums.\u202fPublic\u202fposting of the meeting links\u202fis known to compromise meeting security.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>How to restrict the list of webinar participants beforehand<\/h2>\n<p>Set mandatory registration for your webinar. In this way you will make sure that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your webinar is attended only by the guests who signed up for the event during the period that you had specified.<\/li>\n<li>Information about every participant can be collected which means that anonymous users cannot disrupt your event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When creating a webinar in the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.trueconf.com\/server\/en\/user\/personal-area#personal-area\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">personal area<\/a> or in the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.trueconf.com\/client\/en\/conference#plan-conference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scheduler<\/a> of your TrueConf client application, go to the <strong>Registration<\/strong> tab and check this box <strong>Enable conference registration<\/strong>. You can also set a custom time interval during which the registration will be open.\n<div class=\"marked_note\">For a recurring event, you will be able to select the <strong>Without limitation<\/strong> option; as a result, the registration will be constantly available.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Automatically close the registration when the maximum number of participants is reached (this number will depend on the selected <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/features\/modes\/multipoint.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conference mode<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Allow <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/wiki\/user\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">authenticated users<\/a> from your TrueConf Server to join the webinar even when they were not added to the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.trueconf.com\/client\/en\/conference\/#participants-tab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">list of participants<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Create custom input fields for webinar participants. You will be able to select which of these fields will be required. If you want to add custom fields, click on the <strong>Settings<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"marked_note marked_note--warning\">We suggest configuring registration BEFORE creating a conference because one cannot cannot change the registration form for a conference that has already been created.<\/div>\n<p>You can also limit the number of guests in your webinar.
