Once the registration is complete, calling this device from our client applications<a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/support\/online-help\/tcw-user-guide.html#making-call\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> will be no different from calling a regular user<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We will explain how to register SIP and H.323 devices on TrueConf Server. Such applications as <b>PolyCom RealPresence Desktop<\/b>, <b>Yealink VC Desktop<\/b> and <b>Bria<\/b> will be used as an example (these applications are available for Windows, macOS, and iOS\/Android). In the case of Linux, you can use <b>Linphone<\/b>; it can be configured in a similar way.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"registration_sip_and_h323\" class=\"h4--main h4--thick black-text ui-mb-xs-3 ui-mt-md-1\">Registering SIP and H.323 Devices on TrueConf Server<\/h2>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">The process involves two steps:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">TrueConf Server administrator creates a user account for an SIP or H.323 device to be registered on the server.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">The device is authorized with the newly created account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"primary-medium-text ui-mb-sm-1\">Next, we bring only the second step into focus. Learn more about the first step in <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.trueconf.com\/server\/en\/admin\/web-config\/#user-accounts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> TrueConf Server documentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that if TrueConf Server is run in <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.trueconf.com\/server\/en\/admin\/web-config#ldap-mode\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LDAP mode<\/a>, a user account has to be created for an SIP\/H.323 endpoint on the LDAP server. It should be configured in the personal area on the vendor website. When the program is used, the settings are downloaded via the Internet from Bria servers; so this software cannot be used in a private corporate network. Please note that security can be compromised since connection settings are stored on a third-party service.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Go to the website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.counterpath.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.counterpath.com\/<\/a> and click on the <strong>Start my free trial<\/strong> button in the upper right corner.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Click on <strong>Choose my plan<\/strong> on the opened page and select the plan that best fits your needs. In our case the <strong>Bria Solo Free<\/strong> plan will be enough. Select the <strong>Bria Solo<\/strong> tab to start using this plan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Click <strong>Start a free 21-day trial<\/strong> to specify the email, password, and username needed for account registration. When the trial period expires, you will still have a lifetime free account and you will be able to continue using the application.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">After registration, you will see the window where one can select the type of connection. To use this protocol, you can configure Yealink VC Desktop.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ui-list ui-list--medium\" style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">Start Yealink VC Desktop.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ui-list__item ui-list__item--num\">The application will recommend authorization on the server or Yealink service.
