With TrueConf for macOS<\/a>, you can use a number of collaboration tools<\/a> during video meetings. However, you may require to change your OS settings to use some of these features. This article describes when it is necessary to make those changes and how to make them.<\/p>\n

The scenarios described below may happen if you have updated the client application which was previously installed. If you install the TrueConf client application for the first time, it automatically will ask the required permissions.<\/div>\n

Changing macOS settings<\/h2>\n

  1. Access System Preferences<\/strong> by opening the Apple menu in the left upper corner or clicking the \u201cgear\u201d icon in the dock panel.<\/li>\n
  2. Proceed to Privacy<\/strong> tab in the Security & Privacy<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n
  3. Enable editing the list of applications by clicking the lock icon. Enter your account credentials in the window that opens.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Problem #1: Content sharing doesn\u2019t work<\/h2>\n

    In macOS v.10.15 (Catalina), users may be unable to share their screen<\/a> or a separate application. In this case, the Screen<\/strong> item in the screen sharing menu will be missing. Besides, you will find only TrueConf application in the Applications<\/strong> dropdown list.<\/p>\n

    4. Check the TrueConf application box in the app list.<\/li>\n
    5. Launch the application.<\/b><\/li>\n
    6. Verify screen sharing performance during a video meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Problem #2: Remote desktop control doesn\u2019t work<\/h2>\n

      On macOS version 10.13+ (High Sierra), the mouse icon may not be displayed in your colleague’s video window during remote desktop sharing. To troubleshoot such a problem, you need to complete the following steps:<\/p>\n
