Can TrueConf client application be used for multiple monitor setup?

Yes, it can. You can participate in video conference on one display and view shared content or chat on another. Just drag your window to a convenient place.

You can pull out any participant’s video and put it on a separate screen at your disposal.

The new version of TrueConf Room can integrate with video walls controller through our API allowing to put certain video conference participants in specific places on the video wall. The solution can work with video walls comprised of up to 16 screens with total resolution of 8К. Please contact our team for more information.

The network load remains optimal throughout the session as TrueConf app only sends you those video streams that you see on your screens and only in those resolutions that correspond to the selected window sizes.

What is the highest video resolution supported by TrueConf client application?

In point-to-point video calls the size of the video can vary from SD 320×176 at 30fps to UltraHD 3840×2160 at 30fps depending on your bandwidth and computer performance. Please read our article on how to equip your room for point-to-point calls in 4k (UltraHD) with TrueConf app.

In video conferences with 49 people each participant’s video size is 1280×720 at 15fps, and the total resolution is 7680×4320 at 15 fps (Ultra HD 8K).

One of the participant’s video window can be increased in size to be 1920×1080 at 30fps at request to the technical support, however you will need a video wall (4  UltraHD 4K displays) and a high-performance processor to display that kind of resolution. Total resolution of all video windows will reach UltraHD 8K 7680×4320 at 30 fps.

Can users within a LAN communicate with users connected through the internet?

Yes, they can, provided that internet users are able to connect to the TrueConf Server installed in a given local network.

How can TrueConf Server users call TrueConf Online?

You can call a TrueConf Online user from any server. All you need to do is dial the address <user_id>@trueconf.com, where <user_id>  is a unique TrueConf user’s name. The same address can be added to the address book. To make calls to TrueConf Online certain permissions need to be granted in the Federation section in the TrueConf Server control panel.

Does TrueConf work with firewalls, ICS, NAT or proxy-servers?

Yes, it does. The client app can work on corporate networks and does not require a dedicated IP address. For TrueConf to work via a proxy-server you will need to enter its parameters in the app’s settings.
