Virtual Meeting

Video meeting (or role-based video conference) allows to connect up to 120 users* simultaneously in one meeting room where every participants can play a specific role.

During a video meeting all the participants have certain roles and can be speakers (up to 3 participants at a time) or listener (up to 117 participants).

Speakers can be heard and seen by all the participants and depending on their role can have the status of a:

• Moderator;
• Host;
• Speaker.

The Host is appointed by the technical administrator of the connection and manages the change of the roles during the conference. His role can’t be passed over to another participant during the video meeting.

* Using UDP Multicast feature you can increase the quantity of the participants of a video meeting up to 250 persons.

Our Video Conferencing Software makes it possible for up to 120 participants to take part in one virtual (video) meeting.

Basic functions of the Moderator:

• to invite people to a conference;
• to hand over the Host’s role to any of the conference participants;
• to hand over the Speaker’s role to any of the conference participants on their request.

The Host can stop broadcasting or quit the conference completely and then return to it with the same rights and privileges, a video meeting will continue without him.

Who is the Host?

The Host is a person appointed by the Moderator to play a significant role during a meeting. It could be a CEO, a lector or any other presenter who leads the meeting.

His role can be handed over to any other conference participant as many times as needed, though only by the Moderator. The participant can abandon the position of the Host and stop broadcasting or quit the conference at his wish. After that they will return to the conference only as an ordinary participant – the Listener.

Usually the Moderator plays the role of a Host to effectively manage the meeting.

Who is the Speaker?

Speaker is a participant who can become visible to Listeners along with a Host, to ask questions or share his opinion with the others. Any participant can send a request for the position of the Speaker during the meeting. And it is up to the Creator whether to decline or accept it.

At his/her wish the participant can abandon the position of the Speaker and stop broadcasting or quit the conference completely. After that they will return to the conference only as an ordinary participant – the Listener.

Who is the Listener?

All other participants who are not visible at the moment are Listeners, they do not broadcast their video and audio, and can only see and hear Speakers. To share their opinion with the others during a meeting Listener can “Rise a hand” using a special button to request for Speaker role.

Sending and rejection of the invitations, requesting the role and other activities of the participants connected with changing of roles are carried out through TrueConf special management tools.

During a Video meeting you can control the windows expansion mode. In order to enlarge the picture of a particular user you need to make a single mouse click on it. In the same way it is brought to its initial state.

Who may need Virtual meeting?

Video meetings can be used by all kinds of businesses in order to create a unified communication environment and raise the efficiency of interaction among the company’s staff members, be it a daily staff meeting with the Head of a manufacturing enterprise or video meeting of a Head of a large enterprise with the staff members of its remotely located affiliates. How to start the Virtual Meeting

In order to start the video meeting you need to press on button and choose a role-based conference type.

In order to "raise a hand" (become the Speaker), you will need to press on the "Speak" button.

In order to quit the position of the Speaker or Host you need to press the "Release" button.
